Conference Sessions
Thank you for your interest in joining the DBS2023 event as a speaker/presenter. As you may be aware the DBS Conference sessions are organised as panel sessions with multiple speakers presenting on topics related to a session theme. Each session will have a session chair who will moderate the session with Q&A and discussions after each presentation or at the end of the session.
The DBS2023 event will have a number of conference sessions with the following proposed themes:
- Industry Developments and Standards Updates
(The session will look into latest industry trends and advancements in broadcast technologies, standards, Audio/Video Coding etc.)
- Cybersecurity and Media Industry
(The session will look into ways of managing network, content, & system protection and to share cyberthreat cases and best practices to mitigate these risks etc.)
- Sustainable Technologies and Strategies in Broadcasting
(The session will explore techniques, business models in enhancing media services, business processes with respect to production, contribution and distribution of broadcasters’ contents with greener technologies and sustainable methods)
- Moving Media Workflows to The Cloud
(The session will look at insights on advanced workflows enabled by virtualization, IP standards and networked media architecture, Provisioning studio resources on cloud addressing connectivity & bandwidth challenges and solutions)
- Media Solutions: Implementation and Use Cases
(The session will be sharing broadcast and media industry experiences about solutions and services such as OTT, IBB, D2H, DRM, DAB+ etc)
- Advances in Media Delivery
(The session will explore updates on 5G & beyond, insights on Low Latency Protocols, Real-Time 3D Content Sharing Technologies, Broadcast/Broadband Solutions Integrating Satellite, Optical Fibre, and Mobile Networks)
- AI, Blockchain and Data Applications in Media
(The session will take a deep dive into Big Data Stream Computing/Analysis, Blockchain Applications for Content Sharing, AI in production /Post-Production /Archive etc.)
- Media Management & Digital Workflow
(The session will discuss about media management practices, archiving techniques & solutions, content digitisation & curation, digital workflows etc. for broadcasters)
- Remote Production Technologies and Studio Automation
(The session will discuss about connected & scalable technological solutions for Remote Integration, At-home production, Live production etc. and those tools leading to automation of studio functions)
- IP-centric solutions for Broadcasters
(The session will look into the workflow orchestration and Integration, Infrastructure solutions, Challenges in moving to IP)
- NextGen Infrastructure and Immersive AV Experiences
(The session will present on understanding next generation of audio-visual technology, Immersive applications and user experiences including XR, VR, AR)
Each session will be about 90mins with 4-5 speakers. Each speaker will have 15mins to present which will allow about 10mins discussions/Q&A at the end of the session. You may use slides or any other audio/video media to support your presentation.
Conference Speaking slot fee is USD1,500.00
(speaking slots are FREE for all ABU members, or any partners who are part of DBS2023 sponsorship of any category)
Please note the order of the sessions may change in due course.
Workshops and Masterclasses
The DBS2023 event will also include Workshop sessions that are deemed to be more focused on a specific topic/solution or product(s) by a specific vendor. Workshops are by sponsorship only. Workshop sessions are also 60mins in duration and may include any number of speakers decided by the workshop sponsor. For information on booking Workshops please refer to the Sponsorship details.

- Presentation Topic and your preferred/suggested session(s)
- Abstract (100 words)
- Short bio of speaker (100 words)
- Photo of speaker (hi-res photo not larger than 10MB)
