MUHAMMAD AMIRUL HAFIZ ROSLY is currently the Head of New Media Department in the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC).

He is in charge of the overall planning and management of the activities in the New Media Department. He is currently Malaysia’s Special Point of Contact (SPOC) in official Government Law Enforcement Request with Facebook, Google, Twitter and various other foreign and local platforms providers.

He focuses on new media regulatory and policy initiatives that include new media policy and governance, management of new media cases under Communications and Multimedia Act 1998 (CMA98), as well as providing expert assistance to external agencies in the management of new media related issues under their respective purview.

He started his career as an Assistant Director in MCMC upon graduating from the University Teknologi MARA (UiTM) with an honours degree in professional communication.

Regularly featured in forums and speaks at national and regional forum on the subject of new media enforcement and regulatory framework.

Key officer in-charge of information gathering, analysis and new media content management with active participation in various government committees related to new media content governance and regulatory reform. He also the liaison officer with ministries, agencies, parliament as well as internal/external working groups with regard to new media issues in Malaysia.
